Beyond Academics connects how a child learns with how they are supported. We explore how children respond to structure, choice, challenge and support, then turn that understanding into practical teaching guidance for schools and personalised mentorship or homeschooling guidance for families.
A child may respond differently at school, at home, with friends or in an activity they love. We want those differences to lead to better questions and more thoughtful support.

“I always enjoyed making learning easier and more enjoyable for children. Volunteering during the pandemic helped me realise that this was the work I wanted to do.”
Shariq’s path to Beyond Academics brings together architecture, building businesses and direct work with children. During the pandemic, he began volunteering with children who had no teachers available. Showing up each day made the direction clearer.
His work since has spanned hands-on learning, teaching, curriculum design and personalised mentorship. The question at the centre has stayed the same: what becomes possible when we understand the learner first?
